Hainan Island, China is planning to host a new super yacht event which is fast becoming a new focal destination for the luxury, tourism and super yacht industry. Hainan Island, also known as Sanya, has become extremely popular with wealthy individuals and with an emerging number of super yachts berthing their waters.

The event will feature luxury mega yacht displays, private jet shows and major luxury collections along with remarkable property shows at the Visun Royal Yacht Club, the areas very first international-standard marina. Mr.Luo Baoming, governor of Hainan Province stated "Hainan is determined to the expansion of its marine and yachting industries marking it a key component of wider tourism efforts."

"Yachting is expected to play a vital role in advancing Hainan's tourism potential. Boasting a natural lifestyle Hainan is surrounded by thousands of kilometers of magnificent coastline, endless beautiful islands and a rich marine life." Renowned Industry names such as Lürssen, Blohm + Voss, The Azimut-Benetti Group, Sunseeker and Ferretti Yachts will be joining the event along with other production and engineering organisations. Event organisers say it will be the first time yachts over 50 metres will be openly showcased in China.

Brokerage firm Northrop and Johnson stated "Over 90 super yachts arrived in Singapore last year, in comparison to only 10 in 2007". The brokerage company recently opened a branch in Hong Kong after realizing a fast growing interest in luxury super yachts in the region. Jonathan Beckett, CEO of Burgess stated "China is a market destined to happen ... others continue to purchase, although it's very important to pay close attention to core markets as well as opening ones."The Hainan Island offers beautiful coast lines and breathtaking waters with a new event drawing much more attention to its spectacular location.
