 A super mega yacht known as "A", the first letter in the names of its owners, is probably one of the most unique and most expensive luxury yachts in the world. Andrey Melnichenko of Russia spent more than $400 million on the construction of the mega yacht.
Andrey and wife Alexandra spend the entire summer on board their luxury yacht in the Caribbean basin. The super yacht was designed by world renowned French designer, Philippe Stark.

 The Dutch shipyard Moonen has requested the highly acclaimed Rene Van Der Velden Yacht design team to design the flagship yacht of the yard. Temporarily called Moonen 133 (later to be dubbed Sofia III), the new luxury super yacht is being fully customized for a private client, who currently owns a Moonen 84 and a Moonen 97.
With a length of 40.5m, the unique displacement motor yacht will become the largest super yacht ever built by Moonen Shipyards. The luxury yacht features naval architecture designed by Stolk Marimecs, an exterior design by René van der Velden and its interior design by Art-Line.

 BP chairman Henric Svanberg faced public fury Thursday as he finally cut his Thailand yachting trip short in favor of the oil-drenched shores of the U.S. Gulf coast. Svanberg apparently decided he would finally drop in on the biggest environmental disaster in U.S. history on his way back to Europe from Thailand.
However, there was no trace of the bleak gloop that has haunted the Gulf of Mexico since April's oil gusher began from aboard Svanberg's 80-foot yacht that is crewed year-round and has sailed the chairman through luxury ports.

 Following the recent completion of "Eclipse", owned by Roman Abramovich and considered the world's largest and most expensive privately owned yacht, we bring you a little sneak peak inside the massive 557-ft. vessel built by Hamburg shipyard Blohm + Voss at a cost of approximately $1 billion.
This yacht has every luxury finish one could possibly dream up. Boasting nearly 20,000-sq-.ft. of interior, featuring a master suite upholstered in a shagreen stingray skin on the top sixth deck with a retractable moon roof.
