 After 112 years has past, a sailing artifact is now back in the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club trophy case. The awarded black and silver water jug trophy belonged to the estate of Robert and Edith Kent of Grimsby.
Their daughter, Brenda Found, was preparing for a estate auction when she read the inscription on the ornate porcelain-lined antique and offered to sell it to the club.

 In response to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, members of the Sarasota Yacht Club Charitable Foundation and Mote Marine Laboratory are partnering to host a fundraising event. The help "Save our Seas" (S.O.S.) event will get underway on Saturday at 6 p.m., June 5th, at the Sarasota Yacht Club.
With thousands of gallons of oil gushing into the Gulf daily, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and its consequences to the environment has become an ongoing tremendous challenge.

 "Our wonderful multifunctional club house was designed with the future in mind," says Sarasota Yacht Club Commodore Kay Goodman. "The dining rooms and lounges overlook Sarasota Bay, a pool and fitness center, and a full-service crew, our club house provides a perfect location for members' family and social events."
The club house roof is that of a sail-like fabric with a modern glass and stucco exterior. The 22,000-square-foot club house is oriented to enhance the site's waterfront setting, says architect Tom Denslow, DSDG, Inc. "The new club house is a stunning illustration of coastal contemporary design which supports the club's connection to sailing," he said.

 The Royal Malta Yacht Club signed a lease agreement yesterday with the government to relocate the yachting club to a site in Ta' Xbiex, putting an end to nearly a decade of negotiations.
The yacht club, which was formerly housed at Fort Manoel, would now relocate to a building formerly used by the Malta Maritime Authority, Investment Minister Austin Gatt stated during the opening of the HSBC Premier Valletta Boat Show.
