juno-beach-pier-surfers-2The National Scholastic Surfing Association Southeast Conference and DNA Energy Drink will join forces to aid Haitian orphans at three "Surf For Haiti" surfing events, including one in Satellite Beach.

NSSA Southeast's contest Nos. 6, 7 and 8 at Juno Beach Pier today; at Ponce de Leon Landing located in Melbourne Beach on Jan. 30th; and the Feb. 21-22 surfing event at Satellite Beach's Pelican Park are designated for the "Surf For Haiti" surfing contests.

Donations of clothing will be accepted throughout the day. Through channels led by NSSA member Emily Rupert, 16, and her mother Nancy, after donations are sorted and boxed, they will be sent directly to the orphanage located north of Port-au-Prince. Darren Marks, CEO of DNA Energy Drink, will be managing the donations once they are ready.
