 Today, in celebration of his 60th birthday, mogul adventurer Richard Branson will be attempting a kiteboarding expedition across the English Channel with his family. "Kiteboarding is one of my favourite sports.
"I totally love the rush you get when going at high speeds, in high winds," he said in a statement.

 Entrepreneur Tammy Camp, has just set a new kiteboarding world record for the most completed back loops in 60 seconds and has set a new paradigm by raising funds for her attempt through crowdsourcing. Tammy's 5 full back kitebording loops, all completed within 60 seconds, now sets the standard in kiteboarding enthusiasts will aim for.
The kiteboarding world record was set by Tammy on May 9th, 2010, in the kiteboarding hotspot venue Cabarete, Dominican Republic. The kiteboarding attempt was filmed, and confirmed by the Universal Record Database.

 Dominican Republics' world famous Cabarete World kiteboarding Cup returns for 2010 to the PKRA World Tour. This year as a 5 star, IKA base factor 7 event. The highly anticipated kiteboarding event will get underway at Bozo beach from June 17th - 20th, with registration entries on June 16th.
The worlds top kiteboarding competitors, including 2009 World Champion Kevin Langeree and 2010 World Tour leader Andy Yates will compete against very talented Dominican riders.

 Kristin Boese presents the 3rd edition of the KB4girls Tour 2010, offering her expertise in kiteboarding tips to upcoming kiteboarder enthusiasts. The camp will kick off in Maui, Hawaii from April 9 - 11. Registration remains open until April 1st.
The Hawaiian island of Maui will provide them with ideal kiteboarding conditions and the chance to enhance their skills on the beautiful open waters.The KB4girls Maui date is the first out of three American events in the 2010 tour.
