Jaguar has just signed a sponsorship agreement with the British sailing team targeting to win the famous America's Cup. Team Origin, which includes three-time Olympic champion Ben Ainslie and Beijing Games gold medallists Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson, will now have the renowned Jaguar brand's backing as the team prepares for their challenge.
The team is scheduled to begin an intensive 3-4 year training campaign prior to launching their bid for the oldest trophy in international sport and the greatest honour in sailing.

Led by skipper Phil Robertson, Team New Zealand was announced as the first nation to win back-to-back titles in the BMW Sailing Cup world finals race in Auckland yesterday. In winning the influential amateur race, Robertson and crew successfully defended their race title won in Italy last year by another New Zealand crew led by Roger Pagani.
Weather conditions was testing skill as an 18 knot south-westerly wind blowing against a strong incoming tide resulted in a very challenging chop. Team Portugal beat Team Italy 2-0 to advance to the final, with Team New Zealand advancing over Team Malta by the same score.

A new era has arrived, a new top level sail team is born, commencing its members under their title, ALL4ONE. Consider two nations that created the greatest success in the history of the European industry. Then imagine two nations teaming up once again to launch the first and long awaited sailing team of its kind.
It has finally become reality as another French-German connection has executed a vision . Amongst two sailing enthusiasts, Stephan Kandler from France and three time Olympic Champion and two time America's Sail Cup winner Jochen Schümann of Germany, teamed up to create the sailing campaign ALL4ONE.

The final sail of the fourth Audi Melges 20 Sailing team event concluded today organized in collaboration with the Yacht Club Cagliari. Giallongo and his Value Team Melges 20 concluded their winning victory and secures a fourth win to his collection, that also includes the previous three stages.
His strongest sail competition came from Luca Domenici on Mefisto. His two first place finishes in the first and last team races of the day, took him from his seventh overall position yesterday to second overall for the final sail event. Securing third is a proud Stefano Di Properizio on Mataran with Gabrio Zandona on tactics.

Hampshire yachtswoman Dee Caffari and her four ,all-female sail team have beaten the 2,500 nautical mile round Britain and Ireland mono-hull record. Ms Caffari, of Titchfield, lead the Aviva sail team which included her Vendee Globe rival Sam Davies.
They arrived back in Portsmouth at 0840 BST beating the current record of seven days and four hours set by JP Chomette team in May 2004. The sail team beat the record by 17 hours and 16 seconds. The 36-year-old captain, who had set off on 17 June, told the BBC she was surely "lost for words."
