The Digital Yacht company has recently launched their new Aqua range of marine PCs. The range takes full advantage of the latest Windows 7 system combining Intel's Atom processor for ultra low power consumption and fast computing. All new models run directly from your boat's DC battery power with a wide ranging 6-30v dc regulator that is actually built in, less the need for power hungry expensive inverters.

The Aqua processor measures a small 30 x 27 x 7cm and can be remotely mounted if desired. The new processor comes complete with a mounting bracket arrangement enabling table top or bulkhead mounting.
The new Aqua range is customisable although Digital Yacht suggests three specific configurations which will accommodate the majority of requirements.

The Standard Aqua PC offers the ultra low power Atom N270 processor, 80GB Hard Drive, 1GB of RAM, CDRW/DVD drive and two NMEA in/out ports. It is a perfect platform of performance, value for money and low power consumption for customers who wish to have a marinised and dedicated PC onboard for web browsing, emails and office type applications. The new AquaNav version features everything the standard Aqua PC has, but offers a sensitive dual channel AIS receiver and 12 channel GPS sensor in addition to the duel NMEA ports providing greater system technology integration. It's specifically designed as a navigation device and is ultimately compatible with the latest marine charting software packages. AquaNav includes 2GB RAM and uses a 32GB solid state hard drive less any mechanical parts for the ultimate in reliability.

AquaMedia is specifically designed as an entertainment device featuring a built in digital TV tuner, BlueRay DVD drive and software for HD movie playback taking advantage of the media capabilities on Windows 7 for things like recording and playback of live TV. It utilises the dual core Atom 330 processor with upgraded graphics and comes complete with an enormous 250GB rugged drive and 4GB RAM. Its capabilities also supports both surround sound audio playback and stereo and has dual monitor support - enabling it to drive a chart table VGA screen and a high definition entertainment LCD display or plasma. Digital Yacht's high power Wi-Fi systems may also be included for long range Wi-Fi Internet access.
