 Boat owners renting slips at the Martinez Marina received letters over the past two weeks announcing that rents are going up as of April 1.
“Normally we raise the rents once a year, but we haven’t done it for two years now so it’s time,” said marina manager Craig Paulsen yesterday. “We’re not like other marinas that don’t do anything for four years and then raise rents by 40 percent.” Paulsen said that each slip would now cost 5 percent more each month.

 Berths and storage up for grabs at Cardiff Marina Moorings are now up for grabs at Cardiff Marina after the completion of 150 extra berths and storage.
The addition of the berths represents the final stage of expansion for the young marina and brings the total number of berths on site to 350. All moorings are serviced by electricity and water, and boatowners can take advantage of free wi-fi internet.

 Gail and Arnold McQuarrie gazed across the glittering Imperial River as they lounged in their Pro-line center-console fishing boat on a recent sunny afternoon, moored to the dock of the public boat ramp.
They were in no hurry.
The Bonita Springs couple hop on Southwest Florida waterways about once a week to fish and dine at waterside restaurants.
The Imperial boat ramp is one of their favorites.

OLYMPIA - The Bremerton Marina, operated by the Port of Bremerton, has become the 40th marina to be certified as a Clean Marina Washington participant and is considered a "crown jewel" of the Downtown Bremerton revitalization project.
The marina, which opened for business in May 2008, leases moorage slips of 36 to 60 feet with additional side-tied moorage available for larger vessels. Guest moorage also is available year round.
