Las Vegas Sands Corp. announced today that it will open it's first phase of its Marina Bay Sands combined resort venue in Singapore, including a casino, on April 27th. Chief Executive of Marina Bay Sands, Thomas Arasi stated that the group will open 963 hotel rooms, part of the shopping mall and convention center, casino and restaurants at the resort, with consideration to construction proceeding as planned and regulation approvals being met.
Phase two of the $5.5 billion resort will include the opening of extended dining outlets and retail along with the Sands SkyPark scheduled to open on June 23. Las Vegas Sands Chairman Sheldon Adelson said the resort would open in late March or early April.

The city council voted unanimously to begin proposed negotiations with Viking Developers and Rybovich Boat Co. in an attempt to redevelop the city marina and it's surrounding property. The vote during a packed meeting at city hall is considered a key step toward progression that initiated back in September of 2008, when Viking Developers submitted a $500 million proposal to overhaul the marina district.
The now scaled-down conceptual plan for International Harbor requires $59 million worth of work to be completed in various stages up through 2014 - starting with renovations to the marina, which are being paid for via the $5 million in county waterfront access bond money, and also by leasing the south end of the marina to Rybovich for a mega yacht service yard.

Interval International announces the addition of the Porto Vacation Club in its network of global resorts. Initially, the club will be comprised of units at Porto Marina before the Golf Porto Marina and Porto Sokhna complexes are actually added.
Situated on Egypt's Mediterranean coast, the Porto Marina facility boasts a prominade of 180 designer shops, al fresco cafes and 11 restaurants.
