CEO Donald Trump is scheduled to testify this morning in his high-stakes bankruptcy fight along with billionaire Carl Icahn for full control of the Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. casinos.
Donald Trump intends to back Trump Entertainment bondholders for their $225 million proposed bid for Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino and Trump Marina Hotel Casino.
Trumps daughter, Ivanka will be joining Trump in the Camden Court hearing in support of the bondholders. Corporate takeover specialist Carl Icahn hopes to add the Trump Entertainment casinos to his worldwide entertainment gaming empire. His most current prized possession is Atlantic City's Tropicana Casino and Resort. Icahn purchased a majority of Trump Entertainment's $486 million bank loan and is asking bankruptcy court approval to transfer the debt into ownership of the company.
