Wakeboard Zone has currently released a new section in their website that has all of the basics on Wakeboard and Waterskiing. This is part of a new community website that is all about Wakeboarding Waterskiing. Members as well as non-members may visit this Wakeboard and Waterskiing site Tips page on the Wakeboard Zone website at no cost: www.wakeboardzone.org.

An example of the new Wakeboarding and Waterskiing information webpage: " There are a many differences between the two sports. The first obvious distinction is that the wakeboarding is a variant of waterskiing. The latter has been around for over 80 years today while the former is very recent in sports.

Wakeboarding is a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing. Wakeboarding has borrowed the concept of being pulled by a motor boat powered by a cable from water skiing. It has borrowed the concept of using a board versus skis from snowboarding. It has borrowed the entire idea of establishing a wake from the motor boat to surf the same from surfing.

It is a sport that has been created by the combination of innovative ideas within todays technology. Using long skies makes it difficult to perform various types of stunts in this sport. Instead, one can be restricted to a limited amount of stunts. However, wakeboarding offers a broader scope. The difference is as large as the difference between snow skiing and snowboarding. The popularity of wakeboarding has influenced the popularity of water sports. It has improved its appeal amongst the youth."
