 It's reported that the Vichy Water Sports Centre is opened to the public this summer and is the first indoor centre constructed in France equipped with 100% stainless steel pools.
Chlorine content was a decisive factor in the choice of corrosion resistant Moly grade materials. In addition to simple maintenance, stainless steel allowed the architect to use his imagination for shaping the pool's design.

 For the first time in more than 10 years, the American Sportsfishing Association (ASA) is bringing the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST), the world's largest sportfishing trade show, to the East Coast.

From buyers to media to exhibitors, ICAST attracts more than 7,000 representatives from the international sportfishing community to see all the latest innovations in gear and accessories.  An ambitious blend of Beatles biography and lyrical interpretation shapes Cirque du Soleil's latest Las Vegas extravaganza, a mostly graceful and elegant marriage of movement and song that reinforces the greatness of the music created by the Beatles in the 1960s.
An imaginatively assembled score of oft-altered Beatles recordings gives this Cirque project an element the company's shows have never enjoyed: Truly great music used in a context that challenges not only the creators and performers, but the listeners as well.  In January Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic revealed how the Orchestra plans to build on its legacy in the 2009-10 season. Here is a preview of what audiences can expect from the ensemble.
On January 12 the New York Philharmonic announced the Orchestra's 2009-10 season, Alan Gilbert's first as Music Director. In it Mr. Gilbert will launch a number of innovative programs that build upon the rich legacy of this world-renowned organization. A New York native with long-standing ties to the Orchestra - he is the son of Philharmonic violinists Michael Gilbert (now retired) and Yoko Takebe - he's had years to formulate a singular vision that looks toward the future while drawing upon an illustrious past.

 The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has announced the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) will relocate to Orlando, Fla. from Las Vegas, Nev., where it was held for eight years.
Similar to 2008, MAATS will partner with the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST), bringing together the largest group of marine industry aftermarket accessory suppliers and buyers. MAATS and ICAST will co-locate within the Orange County Convention Center July 15-17, 2009. “Orlando is a natural fit for MAATS not only for its proximity to so many marine and outdoor retailers but also because of the strong boating community that stretches throughout the city”, noted Ben Wold, executive vice president of National Marine Manufacturers Association, which owns and produces MAATS.
