Michael Jackson's US fans have snatched up advance tickets for the documentary entertainment film, This Is It, in only two short hours. People had lined up for three days in California to make sure they got one of 3,000 entertainment tickets to the Los Angeles shows.
The entertainment film is based on behind the scenes footage of Jackson's rehearsals for his 02 concert dates which had been scheduled in London.
He passed away only three weeks before the opening entertainment night. The entertainment film will premiere in 25 cities around the globe, including London, at the end of October. The London premiere will run simultaneously with entertainment events in 15 other cities including Los Angeles, New York, Berlin and Rio. It will take place at 0100 GMT Wednesday, October 28th at the Odeon Cinema Leicester Square. Musical director Kenny Ortega put the film together, having been musical entertainment director for the, This is It Tour. He had previously worked with Jackson on his Dangerous and History tours. The film has been collated from over 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage featuring the entertainment artist rehearsing numerous songs for the show. It will open to the public from 0400 GMT on October 28th and will be in entertainment cinemas around the world for a limited two-week period.
