The Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casinos President Randy Kwasniewski was found dead in his Las Vegas home on Tuesday morning. Responding to the Casinos call, police arrived on the scene at 9:50 a.m. to find the casinos COO dead of a gunshot wound.
Morgans CEO Fred Kleisner stated that he had worked with Kwasniewski since 1995. "I know very few hotel and casino executives who possess the focus , knowledge and work ethic that Randy did. I will miss him tremendously.. we all will," said Kleisner.

The Hump, one of the most highly-recognized sushi restaurants in Santa Monica, is now under federal investigation, after investigators claiming restaurants chef was selling banned whale meat to audacious diners seeking something a bit more exotic.
Armed with a search warrant on Friday, Federal Authorities proceeded to collect evidence from the restaurant, including marine mammal parts and various documents and records. The attempted sale or possession of marine mammals is a violation of the Marine Mammal Protection Act and can lead to a year in prison along with a $20,000 fine.

The Backstreet Boys, one of the biggest selling music groups of all time -- announced plans Tuesday to tour the high seas for a fan cruise. Titled The Backstreet Boys Cruise 2010, and is set to take place from Dec. 9-13 on an, as of yet undisclosed entertainment Carnival ship.
Initial details of the popular music groups tour will feature an "intimate performance" by the band along with a question and answer session, a photo session and beach and deck party.

The company currently leasing the cruise ship turned floating hotel from the city of Long Beach plans to invest $5 million in a long overdue restoration process for the rooms and restaurants. The admirable Queen Mary, a retired cruise ship converted to a hotel has been docked in Long Beach Harbor since 1967 and past due for a makeover.
Repairs to the city-owned retired cruise ship were postponed because of a financial crisis and organizational wrangling. Long Beach authorities now believe the ship is receiving its long-overdue upgrades under a new management company that also operates hotels and restaurants in the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone national parks and the Kennedy Space Center.

The Louis majesty Entertainment Cruise ship was in the Mediterranean north of Barcelona, Spain, when it was hit by three massive waves, each nearly 26 feet high, said cruise line spokesman Michael Maratheftis.
Maltese government officials are on their way to investigate, because of the ship's Maltese flag, she said. The massive waves destroyed five windows on deck five in public areas -- on the forward location of the 14-deck cruise ship, killing two male passengers, one German and the second male Italian, she said.
